Solanos Slick Peppy, #3125012, 1992 Sorrel Stallion, 14-2, 1175#.
Hollywood Waiter, #3678978, 1998 Dun Stallion, 15 Hands, 1100#.
Breeding Agreement sent upon request.
Woody was purchased with the plan for our son, Jason, to ride.
However, just a four months after we purchased Woody, Jason died.
In Memory
Woody has a wonderful disposition and beautiful conformation. Not only does he pass those traits on to his foals, he passes lots of color to them! When bred to sorrel mares he throws red duns and zebra duns, some bays and a few sorrels.
Woody is an own son of ..........
Hollywood Dun It
We bought Woody as a yearling from Tim McQuay, owner of the re-knowned Hollywood Dun It, the only 5 Million Dollar NRHA sire. Through his sire and dam, Woody goes back to the legends:
Hollywood Jac 86 (1 Million Dollar NRHA sire)
Blossom Berry (top 100 NRHA producing mare)
King (A leading sire & maternal grandsire of AQHA Champions & Arena ROM)
Skipper W (One of the most recognized AQHA stallions)
Billettas Jewel (AQHA Jr. Heeling and Steer Roping Champion)
Oklahoma Star (AQHA Hall of Fame, NFQHA 100% foundation rating)
Woody was never professionally trained and is unshown. He is used in our cattle operation and is a dependable cowhorse when penning cattle for working, sorting out heifers for A.I. and also occasionally roping calves to be tagged. He has won money at local team pennings. He's a really versatile horse with a great mind and lots of ablility.
Woody is an excellent choice for crossing on Doc Bar and Peppy San Badger mares to get foals that can be reiners, cutters, rope horses, using horses and horses that are fun to ride. I sent a filly by Woody out of a Doc's Solano daughter to cutting horse trainer, Dooley Whisenant. She placed 2nd in both of her first two shows.
We have sons and daughters of Hollywood Waiter for sale.
$100.00 Booking Fee Plus $400.00 Breeding Fee.

Slick is a grandson of both Doc's Solano and Peppy San Badger
Slick's maternal granddam was a semi-finalist at the NCHA Ft.Worth Futurity. Slick has a beautiful head and BIG hip and sired well-muscled "cowy" foals. He produced AQHA point and NCHA money earners.
I have 2 daughters of Solanos Slick Peppy for sale that are good broodmares.
Both of these mares are currently being bred to our dun stallion, Hollywood Waiter, for a 2010 foal.
See the BROODMARES FOR SALE page for more info.
I have a sorrel mare for sale by Slick that is now started. See the 2005 HORSES FOR SALE page for more info.
I have an unstarted sorrel filly by Slick for sale. See the 2007 HORSES FOR SALE page for more info.
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my stallion, Solanos Slick Peppy. On April 8, 2008, Slick received an injury that forced me to make the awful decision to put him down. I had Slick from the day he was born...almost 16 years. He sired many good horses and he will be missed.
